Vin #3N55-1001 was the first Chrysler 300 ever produced and the first 300 HP mass-production vehicle in United States history.  It was sent to San Juan Motors in Daytona Beach, Florida to compete at the 1955 NASCAR Speed Week, finishing 2nd in its class behind Carl Kiekhaefer’s Chrysler C-300 (Vin #1002) and 1st in the women’s production passenger class driven by Vicki Wood.  Vicki also recorded the 3rd fastest time in the car’s class against both men and women.
